The Investor Bill of Rights

Five principles, defined by individual investors, for markets that work for everyone.

Preamble

We, individual investors, want transparency, control, certainty, and trust in our financial markets; we want our interests represented accurately and considered thoughtfully; we want our voices heard and not drowned out by those who profit off of us and treat us as products rather than customers.

We will not accept a system that manipulates, monetizes, and leeches off us, and we stand united, empowered to effect positive change for ourselves, our families, and our communities. It is time for better.

Our top priority right now

The SEC wants to scrap the rule that guarantees your best price.

It's proposing to rescind Rule 611, the Order Protection Rule that has guaranteed every investor the best publicly displayed price since 2005. Comments are due August 17, 2026, and it takes about two minutes.
